John frieda brilliant brunette products?

i was planning on asking for a chi straightener with chi silk infusion and chi shine infusion for christmas. but i found the john frieda brilliant brunette runway straight smoothing milk online and the john frieda shine shock leave-on perfecting glosser. getting those two products would obviously be cheaper than a really expensive chi. but i wnat to know if the products would work as well or almost as well as using a chi with shine infusion and silk infusion? thank you
