Koreans, Is it strange for a guy to be infatuated with a girl band?

In Korea, their music industry is in a lot of contrast to the American industry. Their bands do appeal to certain groups, it's not unusual for a Korean or Asian, or any kind of dude who's into the girl-groups music to like them. K-pop is mainstream, but it has dominated the industry. All the artists are referred to as Idols are expected to maintain and complete innocent image and set a good example to fans and others.
